A Restorative Backbend

This seven-minute, all-levels practice will introduce you to a soothing, restorative backbend you just might want to practice every day. Set up, lie back, and relax into a freeing sense of openness through your chest, shoulders, and ribs as you enjoy breathing fuller, richer breaths. 

Props: a bolster (or a cushion/a couple of rolled blankets), 4 blankets (or towels), and an eye pillow (or scarf).

AnaMargret Sanchez has studied extensively with Rod Stryker and is a certified Para Yoga teacher. She also has extensive yoga therapy training, has trained in India at the Viniyoga school founded by T.K.V. Desikachar, and is certified by Judith Lasater as an advanced restorative yoga trainer.
