Sushumna, the central channel of energy in our subtle bodies, is the ultimate pathway to peace, as well as the entry to more advanced, etheric practices—and it is only accessible when our energies are balanced. While yoga is about mastering the mind, we so often get caught up in invigorating the body that we become trapped in striving mode. Join Sandy in exploring the finer aspects of yoga through the door of asana, and learn to open the gateway to the unconscious by working skillfully with the essential energy known as prana. With mastery over the basic asanas, such as triangle, warrior I, tree, revolved head-to-knee, Bharadvajasana I, and bridge, we can engage constructively and consciously in pranayama (breath work) and meditation, and experience the joy of presence and non-attachment that the sages wrote about.
