Yoga Therapy for Better Sleep: Tools for Sleeplessness and Insomnia is designed for people who are experiencing sleep issues and also for Yoga Therapists and [yoga] teachers who are working with clients or students who experience poor-quality sleep. Even yoga beginners can benefit from the information and materials presented in this course.

Gary’s holistic, multidimensional approach draws from both contemporary science and a traditional yogic perspective, using āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breath practices), mantra, and meditation to support each layer of your being.

During this course you'll get:

Meet the Presenter

Gary Kraftsow

Gary Kraftsow has been a pioneer in the transmission of yoga for health, healing, and personal transformation for over 40 years and is known as a leading expert in Yoga Therapy. He began his study of yoga and Yoga Therapy in India with T.K.V. Desikachar, in 1974 and received a Viniyoga Special Diploma from Viniyoga International in Paris, France in 1988.

Gary graduated with a BA, Magna Cum Laude, from Colgate University in 1976, and received his Master's Degree in Psychology and Religion from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1983. Since then, he has become a renowned speaker and teacher of the Viniyoga methodology both nationally and internationally. In 1999 he founded the American Viniyoga ™ Institute.

Teachers: Get 5 Continuing Education Credits

Yoga Alliance requires all yoga teachers to accumulate at least 30 hours of continuing education every three years. 20 online hours are allowed to count toward this requirement.
