Cathy Beres is retired from a lengthy career in advertising and marketing. Now in her "second act", she is pursuing her passions: yoga and writing. Cathy discovered yoga after the death of her husband and credits it to bringing her back to life. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2010 and particularly enjoys teaching beginners, young girls, busy moms, aging baby boomers, seniors, and those dealing with serious life challenges such as cancer, depression, or loss of a loved one. A life long learner, Cathy is finishing a Master's degree in Creative Writing at Northwestern University and is enrolled in 500 hour teacher training with Tejas Yoga in Chicago. She is a featured writer for Illumine Magazine, Chicago's premiere yoga magazine and has been published in literary journals. She is ever grateful for finding her way to the mat and to all of her amazing teachers.
