Kristin Vivo

Kristin Vivo, owner of The Law Offices of Kristin Vivo is a bilingual attorney with training and education in Common and Civil Law countries. Her experience includes being Legal Counsel for several multinational companies, including Yahoo! and Del Monte Fresh Produce, where she handled a variety of cross-border tasks in a fast-paced environment including drafting and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts in Latin America and the US. Her experience has also made her adept at handling multijurisdictional legal issues for Fortune 500 companies. Vivo has lived, studied, and traveled extensively throughout Latin America. She has native professional fluency in Spanish as well as a working proficiency in Portuguese. She received her B.A. from the University of Miami, with a major in English as well as being a member of the Varsity Swimming Team and Dean's List Honoree. Vivo obtained her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was also a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association; and Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Vivo finished the remainder of her legal education at the Universidad de Buenos Aires Facultad de Derechos, as well as worked at a law firm and taught Legal English in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Following her graduation from law school, Vivo worked for several years as Legal Counsel for Yahoo! and Del Monte Fresh Produce, and as a Contracts Manager for Anixter, Inc. As a competitive swimmer for over 12 years, Kristin’s physical fitness history makes her an ideal teacher for connecting with athletes and students who are injured or new to yoga; she demystifies yoga to make sure that yoga is accessible and understandable to all of her students. Kristin completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2012, and will complete her Ayurveda Yoga Specialist certification in 2014 with the Himilayan Institute. Her goal as a yoga teacher is to introduce yoga to as many yogis and yoginis as she can. She feels that the sooner one learns about and practices yoga, the sooner one can improve his/her athletic performance and overall physical well being, as well as balance any mental and/or spiritual imbalances present in one’s life. “Arise; take up the path of yoga!”
