From New York to Hong Kong to Portland, Maine, Martha’s writing career has taken her around the world. At Ogilvy & Mather, New York she produced award-winning advertising for American Express, Kraft General Foods, Hershey, and other global brands. As creative group head at Dentsu, Young, & Rubicam, Hong Kong she oversaw flagship accounts, Hong Kong Tourist Association and Du Pont.

The next logical move was Portland, Maine, where Martha launched her freelance writing career. Advertising, in its many forms, is still on the menu. Only now she brings the same laser-focus to websites, white papers, blog posts, C-level sound bytes, manifestos, and more. In 2012, she completed her first institutional history, A Hospital For Maine: The History of Maine Medical Center.

Martha is adept at pulling from clients the essence of what they want and need to communicate to sell their products and services to the right audience. Her goal with every piece of writing is to educate and persuade, entertain within strategic parameters and whenever possible make readers smile. Long format or short and sweet, technical or strategically clever, whether you’re a multinational corporation or a start-up, your brand’s communication is in good hands.
