Cancer: The Importance of Self-Care

People with cancer feel selfish when they put their own needs first. Yet if we have cancer, caring for ourselves is exactly what we need to do. Karina suggests looking at our lives at all levels: Is our food nourishing? Are we gentle with ourselves, getting enough rest, and doing systematic relaxation and breathing? Do we give ourselves moments of happiness and relief? One of the gifts of cancer is learning how to listen to what we need and then respond.
