Easy Steamed Broccoli

Steamed Broccoli


Preparation time: 15 minutes, concurrent with the rest of the meal.

Good for any season.
Sattvic, calms pitta and kapha, neutral effect for vata.

1. Wash and cut into spears:

1⁄2 lb. broccoli

2. Steam the broccoli in a colander placed over the cooking pasta.

Check in 5 minutes. When the broccoli is a beautiful bright garden green, lift the colander out of the pot, and place the broccoli in a serving bowl.

3. Dress with:

a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp. ghee (optional, calming for vata)
