Learn which nine sutras are the best to begin with and how, over time, we can deepen our understanding of the Yoga Sutra and the benefits we receive from it. The editor of The Secret of the Yoga Sutra suggests that both patience and a spirit of inquiry (“How is this true for me?”) are helpful in our study.

The founding editor of Yoga International magazine, Deborah Willoughby holds a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Virginia.
