Manipura Chakra: Navel Center

The third chakra, manipura, is located at the navel center and translates as "city of hidden gems".  In this case, a very special gem representing an inner illumination.  Manipura is responsible for eyesight, but also insight - and outer and inner vision.  The fire element dominates this center, the fire of transformation and digestion.  Sandy explains why this chakra is the most accessible place to begin working with the physical body and to initiate spiritual practice.
