Samadhi in the Yoga Sutra

Have you felt that spark within which drives us to experience complete fulfillment and lasting freedom? According to the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, what we long to experience is samadhi, the goal of yoga. It is a state in which our mind is perfectly still and absorbed in the pure light of inner consciousness. In the state of samadhi, we realize who we are at core: individual islands of excellence—truly luminous beings free from all sorrow.
