Spa Massage and Ayurvedic Bodywork

January 10, 2014    BY Hilary Garivaltis

Spa massage gives you a calming, relaxing, luxurious experience. Ayurvedic bodywork can also do this, but its main focus is to loosen and remove excess dosha or toxins stuck deep in the body. Both types of bodywork are therapeutic, Hilary says. She describes how ayurvedic bodywork is traditionally done sequentially, in a series of treatments, but she says that after even one session of ayurvedic bodywork, clients feel floating, light, and peaceful for days due to its cleansing and unblocking effects. The oils used are a key element.
