Yoga and America Part 3: Taking Practice to the Next Level
To take yoga to the next level, we must put meditation back into yoga. Meditation is the spirit of yoga, says Panditji, and without it, yoga has reached a dead end. He explains why: While modern medical science has made great advances in healing, meditation can reach where medical science can’t. Body and mind can’t be separated. Real healing must include the mind, emotions, and consciousness. Meditation helps us gain mastery over our inner and outer worlds, Panditji emphasizes, and he urges us not to throw away that aspect of yoga that makes us whole human beings.
