Bakasanas and Beyond

Explore both supported and unsupported variations of bakasana (crow) and parsva bakasana (side crow) as well as a chair-supported version of eka pada galavasana (flying pigeon pose) with this step-by-step fun class.

You'll prepare with chair-supported and standing exercises, including pelvic rocking, active and passive twisting, core and balance work in utkatasana (chair pose), and wrist curls. After that, you'll move on to the practice where you'll explore transitioning from your chair into bakasana, practicing parsva bakasana on the chair, moving from a (floor) twist into parsva bakasana, using the chair as leverage in eka pada galavasana , and more.

Class concludes with a well-earned supported side-lying pose and chair-supported viparita karani (legs up the wall pose) variations.
