Bhavana and Grounding Practice

Bring feeling and imagination (bhavana) into this grounding, shoulder-focused practice where you’ll imagine your arms are branches as your feet root into the mat.

You’ll explore your shoulders’ full range of motion in this class, first by learning how to activate your shoulder muscles using a strap and then by applying those techniques in sun salutations and standing poses. Finally, you’ll cool down with a mix of seated and reclined poses before settling into savasana.

Be steady as a tree as your shoulders sway through the next part of your day.
