Full Body Practice: Hip Opening

Cultivate more freedom in your hips with this balanced practice. You’ll begin with a warm-up that includes kapalabhati breathing and joint mobilization. After that, you’ll move on to hip-opening sun salute variations, followed by horse stance, side lunges, bhujapidasana (shoulder pressing pose), and a pigeon twist. You’ll also explore a squat to wheel pose flow, peacock pose, a splits sequence, bound angle pose, and more.

This hip adventure winds down with a block-supported viparita karani or shoulderstand, easy supine twists, and a side body stretch, before concluding in savasana.
