Handstand 101

Want to learn handstand? Or maybe you're looking to refine your existing practice of it. In this short yet complete class, you'll prepare your body for handstand and learn how to build your adho mukha vrksasana (handstand) from the ground up, starting with preps for the hands and wrists and moving all the way up to the legs. Remember that balancing in handstand might not be something that happens right away. Over time, a little bit of "hang time" turns into a little more, and then a little more, and ultimately, the prep work we do for handstand will pay off not only in the pose itself, but in our other endeavors as well—both on and off the mat.
