Happy Hips - Happy Life

This heart-inspired hip class is all about practicing self-acceptance and cultivating happiness. You’ll begin with “feeling studies” to explore the nuances of hip and leg alignment in standing forward bend, downward dog, and lunges. After that, you’ll go deeper into the hips with a prone “salamander twist,” sucirandhrasana(reclined pigeon), twisted pigeon variations, half and full hanumanasana (splits), and more. Have an extra block handy or use a bolster or books for hip support in the splits.

At the end of this joy-infused sequence, you’ll rest and reset in child’s pose.

Props: blanket, blocks
