Part 1: Opening the Hips for Supta Padmasana

This invigorating sequence—full of hip openers, long holds in standing poses, and much more—will prepare you for supta padmasana (reclined lotus pose). Begin with stand poses such as warrior II, triangle, and side angle. Enjoy pigeon pose, a standing hip opener, and gomukhasana (cow face pose), before inching closer to supta padmasana. You'll have the option to continue savasana on your own when class ends. Please note, it’s a good idea to warm up with sun salutations before pressing play.
