Spanda Pavanmuktasana Vinyasa: Long Version

Pavanmuktasana means wind-eliminating pose and in this class, you’ll stimulate the “wind” in the body (wind, or vayu, is one of the five elements in ayurveda and yoga) in a gentle yet energizing way. You’ll experiment with movements and shoulder-opening, practicing three seated positions: baddha konasana (bound angle pose), dandasana (staff pose), and upavishta konasana (wide-legged seated forward bend). Use this class as a warm-up or a stand alone practice.
