Yoga and Ayurveda for Menopause: Support for Kapha Queens

In this blend of tutorial and practice, listen to an overview of kapha dosha qualities, and explains how those with kaphic constitutions can support themselves during menopause using movement, breathing, and relaxation practices. The practice begins with “breath of joy” breath, then moves into an asana (movement) sequence, which includes a lunge-focused sun salutation specifically for kapha. Class concludes with a restorative pose designed to decrease the kaphic tendency for “heaviness in the heart.”
