Deepen Your Practice and Teach What You Love—Wherever You Are
This fall, join Noah Mazé, Rocky Heron, and Nichol Chase for Awaken the Teacher Within: A 200-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training. This training will submerge you in all things yoga. It will spark an ever-growing love of learning, propel your personal transformation, and engage your leadership skills.
This experiential adventure begins August 16, 2021, and this training will officially be “in session” from then through December 17, 2021. During that time, students can expect training lessons to be slowly published between August 16, 2021, and November 11, 2021. Time is set aside for students to catch up and complete assignments from November 15 to December 10, all required work will be due in by December 10, and graduation is scheduled on December 17. Training includes 235 hours of required teacher training lessons as well as optional zoom office hours and optional teaching practicum sessions to bolster learning. Optional Zoom sessions will be offered regularly while the training is in session, and students may choose whether to attend optional sessions, at their leisure. All lessons and scheduled sessions are recorded; and student access to recordings will not expire. Training content will live in the online training on Yoga International, where students may revisit their training materials again and again.
As communities around the world seek out opportunities to become more just and harmonious, skilled and compassionate educators are more needed than ever. In this training, we’ll invite you to step into your personal power and embark with us in transformation. You will not only deepen your practice, but evolve and awaken a powerful, authentic teacher within you.
Yoga Teacher Training Structure
This training consists of ten weeks of online learning (spread out over 17 weeks). Our first session will run from August 16 through September 19, followed by a break for you to study and catch up. Our second session will run from October 11 through November 14, followed by time for you to complete watching all of the lessons and turn in required assignments to graduate.
To successfully graduate from this training students will be required to attend 235 hours of training lessons, pass a midterm and final exam, submit three teaching assignments, and participate in two mandatory live practicums.
Each student who participates in this training may complete the suggested hours of study and practice in their own time zone, on their own schedule within the allotted training period, which includes ample time to complete the lessons and assignments. Student participation will be logged and tracked, whether streaming live, recently-live, or on-demand; however we strongly suggest students plan to devote roughly 20 hours per week to the core curriculum. This suggested schedule is designed to ensure students to complete the training and graduate on time, but need not be adhered to so long as course requirements are met.
Our student body will be a diverse, virtual, global community of yogis with a wide range of experience. Training will include access to 235 hours of learning videos. All training recordings and zoom sessions are specifically tailored and progressively sequenced to maximize student learning and engagement.
In addition to the learning videos, Rocky, Nichol and/or Noah will offer periodic optional scheduled office hours and optional practicum sessions throughout the course to answer emerging collective questions and further clarify lessons. Teachers will also host sessions for students to practice teaching. Students may choose whether to attend optional sessions, at their leisure. These optional/additional sessions will be scheduled to accommodate students around the world. Some will take place on weekdays and others on weekends; and the times of these sessions will vary to maximize student engagement, irrespective of geographic location. As stated above, lessons and scheduled sessions are recorded; and student access to recordings will not expire.
Participants will range from newer yoga practitioners to experienced teachers. Students with stiffness, challenges with yoga or meditation, injuries, and health issues are all welcome. If you are interested in a deeper understanding of yourself and your body, and if you want to develop tools that nourish your body, mind, and personal gifts, this training is for you and we encourage you to attend.
