If you’ve ever been curious about ayurveda and what it’s all about, then this course is for you.
Yoga teacher and ayurvedic practitioner Kathryn Templeton designed this five-class foundational course to introduce you to the central topics of one of the world’s oldest healing systems so that you can apply its lessons to your everyday life in simple yet profound ways. You’ll get tips for eating in a way that’s in tune with the changing seasons and your constitution, establishing dinacharya (simple daily routines), making yoga practice choices that are right for you, and more.
You’ll first learn about the doshas (the system that explains the tendencies of our individual bodies) and how you can sync your lifestyle to the seasons and the ayurvedic clock. From there, you’ll move on to the vital essences (the qualities within you that can influence how you think, eat, sleep, and generally live your life). Giving you examples from everyday life, Kathryn shares how these essences support your sense of vitality and how you can foster them with lifestyle choices and practices that are right for you.
In the second half of the course, you’ll explore how ayurveda views the mind and how you can mentally align yourself with the flow of the day, particularly during times of stress. Kathryn also discusses the relationship between digestion and the mind and the connection between heart and brain health.
Finally, you’ll join Kathryn for a beginner-friendly hatha yoga practice that integrates ayurvedic principles. Throughout the class, Kathryn explains how each of the three dosha types benefit from each pose, and experience concludes with a meditation for each dosha.
Are you ready to learn about ayurveda and how it can deepen your connection to the world around you and enhance your vitality? Join Kathryn for this eye-opening adventure.
