Section 1
  • Agni is the intelligence that drives us physically, mentally and spiritually. When strengthened and balanced, it is the power of digestion and assimilation, transforming food into nourishment and life experience into wisdom.
  • Ayurveda is the path of self-healing and agni is a vital aspect of working with this path. Practitioners of ayurveda employ lifestyle and diet guidelines to stabilize agni and then direct it for healing purposes.
  • Agni supports spiritual awakening. Using a three part approach, we can channel this force to wake up the dormant parts of ourselves and let go of what is holding us back in life.
  • Agni sara is an abdominal practice to build and awaken agni. Implementing this practice into your daily routine, along with three other lifestyle changes, will start you on the path to enlivening your own subtle pranic force.
  • The fire element governs our digestion on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Most concentrated in the third chakra, manipura (city of jewels), it is located deep within the abdomen. See how the fire element manifests itself through this practice incorporating awareness, awakening, and strengthening. Conclude with a deep relaxation. Props: None.
