In Yoga & Emotional Intimacy, a five-part course from Sianna Sherman, you’ll go on a journey of self-inquiry and discovery in order to build a stronger and more meaningful relationship with yourself and get in touch with the full spectrum of your emotions. Along the way, we’ll dive into shadow work, spiritual and emotional bypassing, inner-child explorations, feeling-based asana, philosophy, and mythological storytelling in order to shine a light on hidden aspects of who we are and call them home.
The sessions, in order, are as follows:
Welcome, Assumptions, and Agreements, which begins with a grounding visualization, inspiring invocation, and special honoring of teachers. You’ll then explore identity work and name assumptions and course agreements.
Exploring the Tapestry: Cultivating Shared Language where Sianna clarifies key terms that appear often throughout the course. After exploring each one, she’ll ask you contemplation questions and you’ll have time to journal.
Cultivating Emotional Intimacy, where we’ll look at possible steps toward emotional intimacy in our lives, both inwardly and within our relationships. Sianna begins with an explanation of emotional bypassing, then she shares how we can start to feel what we feel and grow as humans through that act of connecting.
Practice: Embodied Flow, whereyou’ll explore an embodied flow that integrates mantra, mudra, asana, pranayama, meditation, and deep rest.
Tantra and Storytelling, whereSianna shares a story of heartbreak to heart awake through a retelling of Shiva and Shakti mythology.
