Section 1
  • If you’ve experienced hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), you know how depleting it can be. This gentle practice is designed to increase your vitality during these times so that you have more energy for your day or night.
  • Experiencing stress is a common side effect of living with diabetes. In this sequence, you’ll sync your breath with gentle movement, extending your exhales at times, which can produce a feeling of calm. You’ll also do an asymmetrical dynamic bridge pose that provides a nice neck stretch, a standing forward bend flow, gentle reclined twists, and more.
  • Take care of your heart and mind in this meditative class that’s designed for people with diabetes. Enjoy a slow vinyasa sequence that includes a warrior l flow, prone backbends, a dynamic bridge variation, and more. At the end of class, you’ll rest and experience a heart-centered body scan. Enjoy this opportunity to let go completely.
  • In this rest and relaxation class, you’ll do gentle movements on hands and knees and lying down that are designed to calm your nervous system. You’ll also rest with your legs on a chair or bolster as Evan guides you in a simple breathing practice to relieve tension.
  • This therapeutic practice is for people with type 1 diabetes who have gastroparesis (nerve damage that prevents the stomach from emptying properly). You’ll focus on building heat in the abdominal region and stimulating the vagus nerve, which plays a crucial role in the “rest and digest” function of the parasympathetic nervous system.
Section 2
  • Cultivate inner stillness with this guided breath-centric meditation designed for people with type 1 diabetes. The pranayama practices you’ll explore during this experience are nadi shodhanam (alternate nostril breathing) and sitali (cooling breath).
  • This guided relatxation practice for people with diabetes is designed to help you relax and let go. Explore a few grounding visualizations and body scans so you can connect with your breath, release tension, and tap into your own healing capability.
