Getting Started with Meditation and Breathwork
For those curious about meditation, breathwork, or yoga philosophy, these are wonderful starting points.
Learn About Our Levels
At YI, levels act as a guide for students to understand what to expect in a given practice, not a linear progression. Whether you begin with Foundations and work your way to Level 3, or consistently return to Level 1, we provide a path for your practice to evolve with your needs over time.
Foundations / Beginner
A welcoming introduction for those new to yoga. Classes offer step-by-step guidance, minimal Sanskrit, plain-language anatomy cues, and clear prop demonstrations.
Level 1
For students familiar with basic postures. These all-levels classes move at a mindful pace with clear, supportive instruction, some Sanskrit (with English translations), and accessible explanations of props and anatomy.
Level 2
These classes move more dynamically and include increased pose complexity, light philosophy, and more Sanskrit. Less instruction is given for basic postures, while more advanced postures are clearly explained.
Level 3
For seasoned practitioners with a consistent practice. Classes are faster-paced with minimal instruction and feature advanced postures, including deep backbends and inversion variations. Sanskrit is used more freely, and anatomical knowledge is assumed.
