Morning Vata Detox
This stabilizing and nourishing morning practice will help to remove excess vata dosha from the body. Since vata (air and ether) tends to be light, dispersed, cold, and irregular, this practice detoxifies vata by grounding it, while at the same time stoking agni, the fire at the the core of the body. The session includes cat/cow, bhastrika pranayama, sun salutations, a well-rounded standing sequence, and seated and reclining postures. It ends with a practice in shavasana that focuses the movement of the mind.
