Pathway to Urdhva Dhanurasana

Urdhva dhanurasana (wheel pose) is an intricate backbend that requires mobility and stability in the hips, back, and shoulders. This progressive practice provides lots of opportunities to grow your backbend.

You’ll concentrate on mobilizing your shoulders through joint rotations and isometric work, supported chest openers, inversions, and a lunge series leading up to numerous propped variations of wheel. After that, you’ll wind down with back-and hip-releasing poses and a few moments for reflection.

Enjoy finding your pathway into this pose!
