Pitta-Balancing Yoga for the Afternoon

Take a midday yoga break to cool off. According to ayurveda, pitta dosha—which is associated with qualities of heat and sharpness and feelings of irritation—rises midafternoon. This practice is designed to calm and soothe these qualities through a series of pranayama techniques and rhythmic movements. Enjoy this low-intensity, pitta-pacifying sequence, and see if it improves your mood.
