Resistance Stretching: Hip Flexors, Core, and Glutes

with Nam Chanterrwyn

We often stretch the back of the body (like the hamstrings) in order to fold more deeply in forward bends. However, a smarter goal is to feel better in these types of poses, not necessarily to go deeper.

In this short practice, you’ll do resistance stretches in both reclined pigeon and tree pose to activate and strengthen your hips, glutes, and core, so that you can approach forward-folding postures with more ease, and possibly, more depth.
