Yoga and Diabetes: Hypoglycemia Rest and Recovery

If you’ve experienced hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), you know how depleting it can be. This gentle practice is designed to increase your vitality during these times so that you have more energy for your day or night.

As you move through this breath-centric flow that includes basic poses and becomes progressively more energizing, let your exhales be long and deep. Class winds down with a calming practice of chandra bhedana (left nostril breathing) and concludes with a guided body scan.

Though this sequence is specifically for hypoglycemia, it’s also appropriate for anyone looking to slow down, breathe deeply, and revitalize.
