Activate your inner fire, contain it, and use it to create strength and radiance in your practice with this intermediate-level class. Shari guides you through a strong standing sequence, variations of agni sara (essence of fire), back and forward bending postures, and twists—all with an inner focus on activating fire at the solar plexus, containing its energy at the root, or pelvic floor, and extending the energy through the legs, arms, and head. The session concludes with a relaxation in shavasana followed by cleansing pranayama and a resting of awareness at the center of the mind.
For this class you'll need: cushion(s) for the head and for sitting, blanket, and yoga block (optional).
