Section 1
  • In this 30-minute alignment-based class, you'll learn key actions and techniques that will fine-tune your warrior I, II, and III. This sequence focuses on creating a strong core, engaged legs, open hips, and a big, full-hearted lift along the spine. \n\nUnroll your mat and begin!
Section 2
  • Create core stability with this 25-minute alignment-based class that focuses on strengthening the deep abdominal muscles and the lower back. You'll practice a supine twist, plank variations, a side plank variation, belly-down backbends, and bridge pose. Class concludes in savasana.Christina reminds us that core work is more than physical. Working with the core of the body can help us find inner strength. She says: "Remember what makes you strong and what's most deep and true for you."
Section 3
  • In this one-hour alignment-based class, you'll work with key postures and actions that will provide fertile soil for your lotus to blossom. With a deep hip opener such as this, remember to be patient as it unfolds. This patience (and your commitment to practice!) is what you're actually growing.
Section 4
  • What do poses like upavistha konasana (wide-legged seated forward bend), prasarita padottanasana (wide-legged standing forward bend) baddha konasana (bound angle pose), jathara parivartanasan (belly revolving pose), and vrksasana (tree pose) have to do with trikonasana (triangle pose)? This 40-minute alignment-focused practice, designed to give you a deeper understanding of this foundational asana, is your answer. Have a strap and a couple of blocks handy.
Section 5
  • Do you struggle with upward facing dog? This 40-minute sequence explores prop options and alignment tips that can make your up dog feel more accessible, enjoyable, and even lovable. You'll not only deepen your capacity to backbend, you'll also finesse your transitions into this ubiquitous asana. Whether or not you practice up dog with ease today matters less than what you'll learn along the way. Enjoy your practice, yogi.
Section 6
  • Seated forward folds are often said to be soothing for the nervous system; however, many folks who have tightness in their hips and legs or weakness in their lower backs find poses like paschimottanasana to be aggravating and difficult. This one-hour class is designed to help you find a more pleasant seated forward fold. You'll focus on four key poses that will prepare the ankles, hips, and spine for this classic asana.
