In this four-part course, Enlightened Living: The Pathless Path of Meditation, iRest Yoga Nidra founder Richard Miller will guide you through the 20 steps of meditation outlined in the Siva Sutras and Samkhya-Patanjali philosophy. He’ll break these steps down in simple and accessible terms, and not only introduce you to them through discussion, but experientially, through guided practice.

Although these steps are progressive they are not necessarily linear—they ebb and flow throughout the journey. The final session explores the deepest stage of meditation, which is said to lead to a peace beyond all understanding.

Section 1
  • We are hardwired for wholeness and meditation helps us remember and embody this essential fact. In this first session, Richard provides an introduction to the philosophy that guides this course. He then leads you through a meditation practice where you’ll inquire and feel into this sense of inner completeness—of being.
Section 2
  • How can we begin to carry the sense of wellbeing we experience in meditation into each moment of our life? In this session, which is an experiential exploration of yoga philosophy, Richard shares key steps of meditation that will guide you toward a sense of daily harmony where you feel more awake, alive, and grounded. This journey will involve meditating on your heartfelt desire, intention for meditation, the elements, and senses. Enjoy this expansive experience.
Section 3
  • In this session, we’ll explore nondualism and how it opens us to a state of being where we are infinitely connected to life itself. Richard will invite you to experience yourself as a witnessing presence and to see yourself as something bigger than just your thoughts and emotions, what comes and goes.
Section 4
  • In this final session, through discussion and guided practice, Richard takes you deeper into the experience of nondualism—the deepest stage of meditation that leads to a sense of peace beyond all understanding.
