Section 1
  • Learn the eight basic moves of Forrest Yoga: ujjayi breath, expanding the ribs, active hands, active feet, telescoping the ribs, telescoping the ribs in conjunction with lengthening the tailbone down, wrapping the shoulders, and relaxing the neck.
Section 2
  • Review the eight basic moves of Forrest Yoga and then put everything you've learned together in a 30-minute Forrest Yoga practice!
Section 3
  • In this 30-minute all-levels class, you'll learn the basic core exercises of Forrest Yoga: pelvic tilts, basic abs with a block, abs with a block, basic elbow to knee, elbow to knee, bridge over a block with hip traction, and a lying-down spinal twist. This class can be practiced on its own, or as a warm-up before a longer practice (whether Forrest Yoga or otherwise).
Section 4
  • This 60-minute Forrest Yoga class will help you release deep tension in the upper back, neck, and shoulders. We'll begin with a tutorial on sivananda breath, then move into seated poses, sun salutations, and powerful holds in Forrest Yoga pose variations ("kite hawk" in warrior II, a neck-releasing reverse warrior, extended warrior variation with a chest opener, and much more). Unroll your mat, and enjoy!
