The three main bandhas or "locks" (jalandhara bandha, uddiyana bandha, and mule bandha) are an important aspect of hatha yoga whether your approach to the practice is gentle, vigorous, or somewhere in between. Not only do these locks help to create structural integrity, they also play a role in stilling the mind. In this workshop Jim will explain why certain poses are best suited for practicing each of the bandhas and how to seamlessly work them into a yoga sequence.
Jim teaches Tantric Vinyasa Yoga: an authentic, comprehensive practice influenced by ParaYoga, Universal Yoga, the Himalayan Institute, and the Krishnamacharya lineage. Based in Chicago and co-founder of Tejas Yoga Studio, Jim's inspired teachings and demos are sought after at many conferences and studios across the country.
