Course Overview

Between homework and exams, societal expectations, peer pressure, and planning out their next steps, teens experience a bundle of stress on the regular. This empowering all-levels series can be there for them when they need playful, yogic support for navigating the ups and downs of life. It features four progressive practices that—aside from the last one, which does require some preparation—can also be done in any order.

Along the way, teens will learn how to stand in their power, take up bold space in warrior flows, connect to their integrity through conscious core work, and build courage by going upside down in inversions. Although focused and thematic, these practices are also general enough to set a strong foundation that might just inspire them to keep coming back to yoga. Plus, Dianne Bondy is so relatable and fun, they may also feel like they make a new friend in the process.

So sign up and we’ll make the rest easy by sending all four classes directly to your inbox. From there, you can share the email and practices with the teen(s) in your life. Ready to give a gift of yoga?

Section 1
  • This yoga for teens class was designed to help you navigate the stress of being in the world. As you move on the mat, you’ll build stamina, confidence, strength, and balance—all while Dianne sets a playful tone. The sequence includes a progressive warrior flow that integrates balance poses, creative vinyasa where you’ll move up and down your mat, standing poses where you’ll feel your strength, active backbends, supine twists, and more. You’ll close with a brief savasana where you can rest and feel great about everything you’ve done. Have a few blocks available and get ready to stand in your power!
Section 2
  • Your second yoga for teens class is all about developing conviction and feeling strong in your body. You’ll start standing in mountain pose and then quickly get moving with sun salute variations. After that comes a warrior flow where you’ll build your balance, take up space, and feel how powerful you are. From there, you’ll explore active backbending, side planks, a seated series, and more. Finally, you’ll close with a brief savasana where you’ll embrace positive energy and practice “smile asana.” Let the feeling of strength you cultivate shine on.
Section 3
  • The third class in this yoga for teens series is all about connecting to our core, which Dianne likens to connecting with our integrity. The first half of this sequence features progressive sun salutes that eventually include knee to chest work from down dog, forearm plank, lunge twists, and bow pose. From there, you’ll come to the floor for a series of supine core practices that go beyond basic crunches. After that comes leg lifts that will fire up your obliques, more active backbending, and a cool-down practice before a concluding savasana. So make your way to your mat and celebrate who you are.
Section 4
  • In the final class of this yoga for teens series, you’ll build your courage with a well-rounded flow that will prepare you for inversions (any pose where the head is below the heart). You’ll start by getting connected to your breath in child's pose. After that comes flowing practices from a tabletop position where you’ll be invited to move in ways that feel good. Next, you’ll do a progressive warrior flow and play with accessible inversions (such as standing forward fold and wide-legged forward fold). After that, you’ll practice pigeon pose and forearmstand preps before coming onto your back for...
