Pose Breakdown: Warrior II

In this four-minute tutorial, Annie Adamson explores how we can practice warrior II optimally to stretch the adductors, strengthen the legs, and even enhance low-back health. She'll enter this pose two ways—from standing and from a vinyasa—to demonstrate how to avoid a common overcompensation in the legs and pelvis in order to free the upper body and engage the lower body.
